It’s been an amazing journey since we started Kahuna four years ago. We set out to challenge the status quo in marketing automation for the Mobile Era, and we’ve worked hard to establish ourselves as a leader, helping mid-to-large sized enterprises deliver a personalized omnichannel buying experience across all customer touchpoints. The industry has backed us and this vision, to the tune of $45M last August, further inspiring us to continue our pursuit to guide the entire marketing industry through a major paradigm shift and to challenge leaders in adjacent technology categories.
With this in mind, I’m excited to announce a series of decisions. The first is that I’m taking on a new role at Kahuna, as Executive Chairman of the Board. My passion has always been listening to customers to drive Kahuna’s vision and innovation, and this new position is a natural extension for me to continue my passion.
The second decision is that I have appointed long-time board member, Charles Hudson, as interim CEO. Charles invested in Kahuna the day we incorporated, and is the perfect leader to evolve the Kahuna executive team. He is working with the board to hire a CEO that will scale the company and succeed in new enterprise markets.
We recently restructured our sales team to address the evolution from inside sales to building a consultative enterprise team that can meet the growing demand for our new solutions, including recently announced email capabilities. There are a number of announcements coming soon about new hires and product breakthroughs.
When I started Kahuna several years ago, I knew it would be a thrilling ride, and it has been an honor serving as Kahuna’s first CEO. Kahuna has always been about delivering disruption, innovation, and customer delight. We are excited to begin this new phase of growth with continued commitment to delivering the best customer experience possible, helping brands who are hungry to win in the Mobile Era.
