Kahuna To Launch New Consulting Services To Empower Digital Marketers

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.– December 21, 2015 —Kahuna, the leader in communication automation, announced today that it is launching a new services group to empower the next generation of leaders in digital marketing. Dubbed Kahuna Labs, the new group will offer a range of strategic consulting programs to Kahuna’s growing community of customers and partners.

The initiative — formally launching in early 2016 — comes at a time when more and more marketers are being forced to respond to the arrival of disruptive technologies. Kahuna Labs is recruiting a team of world-class educators and innovators in digital marketing to help close the skills gap across a range of marketing disciplines.

“With the arrival of new tech capabilities such as behavioral data modeling and machine-learning, the technology-readiness gap for marketers is rapidly widening,” said Adam Marchick, co-founder and CEO of Kahuna. “We aim to close that gap with a strategic mix of offerings and with the wisdom of the expanding Kahuna community of customers and partners.”

Among the services the Labs will offer are custom consulting engagements in omnichannel communications, and private workshops for senior marketing professionals seeking to augment their skills by becoming more digitally savvy.

“The empowerment of marketing professionals is core to all service and product offerings by Kahuna, and Labs will help advance what the company does going forward,”said Kahuna CMO Julie Ginches, one of the chief architects of the initiative. “For Kahuna — a leader in disruptive marketing tech — it’s the perfect time to launch Labs. Partnering with marketing, sales, product, and others parts of our org, Labs will create ways to bring value to our prospects, customers, and partners.”

Leading the initiative is Giovanni Rodriguez, a pioneer in digital brand transformation and online/offline learning communities. Over the years, he has advised many organizations including SAP, Coca-Cola, Unilever, the AARP, The White House, the DNC, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Stanford University, Morehouse College (one of the nation’s leading historically black colleges), and dozens of tech startups, from launch to exit. Rodriguez served as a leader of a practice at Deloitte Consulting that advised the Fortune 1000 on digital transformation, and most recently as co-founder of a boutique consulting firm where he collaborated with Stanford-based researchers on designing new approaches to stakeholder engagement.

“It’s an important time for marketing professionals, perhaps as important as the early days of the Web and the early days of social media,” said Rodriguez. “With the new technologies and methodologies that are fast emerging, marketers have both the obligation and opportunity to rethink the way they engage the people they serve. At Labs, we’re hoping to grow with the new community that’s forming to meet this challenge.”
